Clasped Hands Fund
Help support alumnae in financial distress

The Clasped Hands Fund Grant provides emergency financial assistance to Alpha Delta Pi alumnae who find themselves in financial distress. Need and circumstances determine the amount of each grant.

History

The Clasped Hands Fund started with contributions received at Grand Convention in 1993. The fund was endowed in 1997 thanks to the generosity of Deen Day Sanders, Beta Sigma—Mercer University. For many years, gifts to the Clasped Hands Fund were recognized with a silk violet tied to attendee nametags at Convention; a violet appliqué was introduced at the 150th Anniversary Convention in 2001.

Violets for My Sisters

We rely on the support and generosity of our sisters through our Violets for My Sisters program each summer for our Clasped Hands Fund. If you would like to support this program by sending a Violets to sisters attending Grand Convention, please click on the Give Now button (when it goes live on May 15th) and choose "Violets for My Sisters (I'll email my list)" in the Fund Designation. Remember: Violets are $5 per recipient. Then email your recipient list to foundation@alphadeltapi.com no later than May 29th.
